It is my second day here and I am already feeling at home.
This morning I scheduled my assessment at the school district board, which I am desperately hoping I´ll pass. Then, I made a journey that took me to the other, other side of Toronto. I got to see the famous tower which I totally forgot the name and I saw the great lake. I mean it really looks like an ocean because you can´t really see the end.
The delay that my journey caused lead me to eat at a fast food restaurant called Tom Horton´s or something like that. The sandwich is great and the donut (which I only ate like now, was delicious! first donut in Canada!)
In the afternoon I went to the public library. This was like the realization of my dreams. Every book possible was there! Just kidding, but many hundreds were there. I already have two books checked out, and my account can have up to 50! This is paradise.
To lessen my day, I got my H1N1 shot. It was supposed to hurt, but until now, I´m fine.
I also went to gym toady, which is a first for me. I had never went to a gym before, and today I tried only walking. It is quite weird to walk and still stay in the same place, like your not really doing anything, plus I was afraid of falling….
Hum…I´m already feeling at home here and hope to feel even more from now on.
Oh yeah, I forgot. I got to see my school today and well it is exactly like american schools in movies, long corridors with lockers and rooms with doors that have small glass windows in the middle, all the same.
